togetherable is a small, private app and forum for a group of friends who help each other keep their goals. It’s run by Brad, not a company. This page explains what we keep, who can see it, and how to remove it.

What we keep

From the app (texts, WhatsApp and the web app)

  • Your phone number, the name you go by, and your time zone.
  • Your goals, the days you checked in, and your totals.
  • The notes, photos and voice messages you send.
  • Settings you choose, like your reminder window, pause, travel and easy weeks, and your sharing level.

From the forum

  • Your forum account: username, email address, and password (stored as a hash, never in plain text).
  • What you post, like, and bookmark, plus your profile and notification settings.
  • Basic technical logs, like your IP address and browser, which Discourse keeps to stop abuse and keep you signed in. The forum uses cookies only to keep you signed in and remember your settings. There are no ads or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

  • Photos and other media: deleted after 60 days.
  • Voice messages: the audio is deleted from Twilio as soon as it’s turned into text. The text is kept like any other note.
  • Goals, check-ins and totals: kept until you erase them or delete your account.
  • Forum posts: kept until you delete them or ask for your forum account to be removed.

Who can see it

  • Your group. What they see depends on your sharing level:

    • share details: your goal name and progress show in the Sunday review.
    • share status: only whether you checked in.
    • share nothing: you’re left out of the review.

Your notes stay private unless you text SHARE NOTES.

  • Forum members can see anything you post on the forum.

  • Lock screens. Push notifications never show other members’ names or counts.

  • Services that help run togetherable. Each one only gets what it needs to do its job:

    • Twilio and Meta (WhatsApp) deliver your messages.
    • Anthropic’s AI reads some of your texts and photos so it can understand and reply to them.
    • Supabase stores the app’s data.
    • Vercel hosts the web app.
    • The forum runs on Brad’s own computer.

We never sell your data and never use it for ads.

Your choices

Text any of these at any time:

  • what do you keep: a short summary of what we store.
  • forget everything: erases your notes, photos and history. Your account, goals and totals stay.
  • delete my account: deletes your account and everything in it. This can’t be undone.
  • PAUSE / RESUME: stops or restarts reminders.
  • STOP: stops all texts from us.

For the forum, you can edit or delete your own posts. To have your forum account removed, message Brad.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and post about it on the forum.
